‘Not Just for Pretty: Robyn Cove in relation to Michael Cardew’, exhibition at the Ceramic Gallery, 21 July – 7 October 2018

ROBYNCove_POSTER

Michael Cardew’s pots have always been present in Robyn Cove’s life. Her mother was a distant relation of Cardew and used his jars, cups and bowls in their day-to-day family life. Robyn’s interest in studio ceramics was encouraged by her uncle Simon Fox, who has a significant collection of Michael Cardew and Wenford Bridge related pottery.

Robyn studied Ceramics at Cardiff Metropolitan University and was awarded an Arts Council of Wales grant to make a new body of her own work to be shown alongside Michael Cardew’s pottery in Aberystwyth University’s Ceramic Collection.

There will be an exhibition opening and event closer to the time of exhibition. Please check the Arts Centre diary or http://www.ceramics-aberystwyth.com for notifications.
